Message from the Founders

Wholeness & love,

Last quarter reminded us of the profound beauty and strength that comes from moving in purpose, together. Each child’s awakening, every shared breath in meditation, each seed planted in our food justice work… these moments affirm why this work matters.

As co-founders and stewards of Konscious Youth Development & Service, we are constantly inspired by the way our community shows up with heart, with vision, and with the will to transform.

This quarter, we’ve witnessed peace in action: from the transformational power of free integrative massage at our SOULcase gathering, to the joy of our first Konscious Market supporting young entrepreneurs! We are especially proud of our Konscious Community Worker Training,  a deep, three-day dive into what it means to lead healing from the inside out.

And through our Konscious Leadership & Entrepreneurship program, we watched 18 middle schoolers awaken to their inner leadership, emotional regulation, and entrepreneurial power — earning over $2,000 in youth-led revenue!

We are grateful beyond words to every donor, partner, volunteer, and participant who believes in this vision. As we look ahead to Q3, including Journey Summer Camp and continued expansion of our wellness offerings, we do so with humility and hope.

There’s still more to do. We invite you to continue walking with us, investing in a world where peace is power, and that power belongs to all.

With Love,

Rodney & Mychal

Co-Founders

Why This Matters

Whether through breath, food, music, or movement, our center continues to be a living laboratory for communal healing and access. We don’t just hold events; we create portals of possibility.

Your support helps us:

  • Cultivate youth leaders through mindfulness and entrepreneurship

  • Address trauma with tools for self-regulation

  • Foster connection between neighbors

  • Provide access to free/open-donation wellness to those who need it most

  • Support 10+ local and/or Black-owned businesses through events and vendor partnerships

  • Equip young people with tools to lead from the inside out and build real-world businesses

One student entered the KLE program unsure and withdrawn. By the end, they had proudly pitched their handmade keychain business to a full room and walked away with new confidence and community!
